We are seeking an enthusiastic Mine Scheduling Engineer to join our team at the Super Pit in Kalgoorlie.
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to utilise your skills and experience.
The successful candidate will report to the Senior Mining Engineer.
The primary role is to monitor daily development and production activities and alert the Senior Mining Engineer to any trends that may affect the schedule.
This is a permanent, residential Kalgoorlie-based position on an 8:6 roster, working 11 hours per day.
Responsibilities include: Scheduling, sequencing, and executing daily and weekly plans.
Identifying risks and opportunities in planning.
Liaising with Production, Geology, Geotech, and Maintenance departments to follow the Monthly plan.
Analyzing production data to update schedules.
Delivering two-weekly plans and schedules on time.
Working on ramps and haul network designs.
Coordinating with stakeholders on sequencing and scheduling.
Qualifications and skills required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI.
Experience with mine planning software such as Deswik and Fleet control.
Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related field.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
At least 2 years of relevant mining industry experience.
Experience in planning processes from short to medium term.
Current Western Australian 'C' Class Driver's License (Manual).
