We're currently seeking an experienced and commercially minded Management Accountant to join our team and play a critical role in driving financial performance across our hotel portfolio and related entities.
About the Role Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Management Accountant will provide accurate financial reporting and analysis across the Majestic group and Pentroth Pty Ltd.
You will be a key business partner to department and hotel leaders, offering insight and support for decision-making, forecasting, and commercial planning.
You will also lead the AP/AR and Payroll functions and contribute to a high-performance culture through leadership and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities· Deliver timely and accurate month-end reporting including P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow statements· Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, with a focus on accuracy and strategic alignment· Monitor and report on key performance indicators· Partner with hotel and department managers to drive financial literacy and data-driven decision making· Ensure effective cashflow management and identify strategic opportunities· Oversee and support AP/AR and payroll functions· Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and tax obligations (including BAS, GST, and STP)· Conduct scenario planning, ROI analysis, and support business case development for key initiatives· Assist in managing audits and improve financial systems and reporting processes· Facilitate the exchange of information with external Accountants What We're Looking For· Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or Commerce· CPA or CA qualified· Minimum 3 years' experience in a management accounting or commercial finance role· Strong working knowledge of Australian accounting standards and compliance frameworks· High proficiency in Excel and financial systems (experience in multi-site operations advantageous)· Experience in leading or supporting AP/AR and payroll functions· Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills· A collaborative and values-driven approach, aligned with Majestic's commitment to service, quality, and innovation What We Offer· Staff discount on all meals at our beautiful Cottage Kitchen Restaurant· A role that makes a direct impact on business performance and growth· Recognition of Service milestones through our Employee Recognition program Ready to Make a Majestic Move?Apply now with your resume and a short cover letter outlining your suitability for the role.
