Developing products from conceptual beginnings.
Hand sketching and rapid CAD modelling.3 D visualisation and animation.2 D documentation for prototype and high-volume production.
Performing comprehensive prototype verification and managing product compliance.
Production set-up and supplier management.
Liaising with customers and supporting the project managers.
The following skills and experience are required for this role: Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or hold a working visa.
A relevant qualification from a reputable education organisation (e.g., Bachelor of Industrial Design / Mechanical Engineering / Certificate IV in Industrial Design).
Minimum 5 years' experience in product design from concept to manufacture.
Ability to sketch ideas and concepts.
High level of experience in 3 D CAD detailing, preferably Solid Works.
Experience in product visualisation and rendering using Keyshot / Photoshop or similar.
Manufacturing experience and knowledge of various production/manufacturing processes.
Experience communicating with local and offshore suppliers.
Experience with rapid prototyping techniques.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
