Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN) Full-time (100%), fixed-term position for up to 3 years Base salary will be in the range $82,057.75 - $109,246.18 + 17% Superannuation (Academic Level A) Based at our St Lucia Campus About This Opportunity Join the Yu Group at AIBN and work on an exciting NHMRC-funded project that will focus your research efforts on nanotechnology and cancer immunotherapy.
Develop your expertise and research profile working with a high performing team on cutting edge research in state-of-the-art facilities.
In this role, you will be expected to contribute to student supervision and research development, as well as service and engagement roles and activities.
Key responsibilities will include: Research: Contribute to and develop a research program, collaborate on research projects, seek and manage research funding, publish in reputable journals, utilize best practice research methodologies, and participate in project discussions.
Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise Honours and Higher Degree by Research students, supervise and manage employees, provide performance feedback and training, resolve conflicts, and ensure correct remuneration and benefits.
Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.
This is a research focused position.

About You Completion or near completion of a Ph D in research areas relevant to nanomedicine and cancer immunotherapy.
An excellent profile in research in the discipline areas.
Evidence of quality publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences.
Evidence of contributions towards successfully obtaining external research funding.
Some experience in meaningful internal service roles and contributions towards external activities.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check, education check etc.
