This recruitment pool will run for a period of eighteen (18) months and will be used to establish a pool of suitable candidates that may be used to fill ongoing fixed term contracts and permanent opportunities.
Suitable applicants will be motivated, suitably skilled and have a keen interest and ability to deliver agreed outcomes within specified timeframes.
Currently, there is one (1) fixed term, twelve (12) month contract available for immediate filling, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency, subject to business requirements.
This particular position will support the implementation of strategic initiatives in custodial facilities.
Experience working in a custodial environment is beneficial for this role, but not essential.
Flexibility to work between SCP's office locations at Casuarina Prison and Perth CBD is required.

About The Role The Strategic Corrections Projects (SCP) branch manages and supports projects of significant strategic importance to Corrective Services.
The branch supports the successful delivery of these projects by developing and administering project management frameworks and working alongside Corrective Services business areas to deliver projects that further strategic priorities.
Project Officers are responsible for undertaking project work identified within the SCP branch and actively participates in developing and implementing project activities.
These positions support the delivery of various projects and programs and will involve liaising, engaging and negotiating with key stakeholders.
In Addition To Stakeholder Engagement, Key Responsibilities Include Preparation of comprehensive plans, reports, memos, briefing notes and other documents.
Analysing activities to determine best practices and embed them into policies, strategies and operating standards.
Actively participating in the formulation and achievement of objectives, strategies and priorities that support the effective functioning of the Directorate Eligibility Permanent positions – To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.
