13th March, 2025 About the roleWe are seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join our national tax practice with a focus on front-end matters.
While ideally based in our Sydney office working closely with Partner, Dhanushka Jayawardena, and Senior Consultants, Chris Kinsella and Stephen Jones, we are open to candidates working from our Melbourne, Brisbane, or Canberra offices.This newly created position will be critical in servicing our clients' front-end tax needs on a national scale.
You will also support our tax disputes and controversy practice; however, it is not essential for our successful candidate to have experience in back-end tax matters.
You will play an instrumental role in the team, working on large and complex deals, projects, and disputes for the Firm's key clients giving you the opportunity to learn directly from experienced practitioners, and accelerate your growth into a well-rounded and autonomous tax adviser.About youYou will be a skilled and technical tax lawyer with 3-6 years PAE in front-end tax matters or have equivalent experience at a reputable accounting firm and hold a law degree.
We will support you in qualifying to practise law.Given this specialist practice, you will have a strong academic background in law and other relevant areas such as commerce, accounting, economics or tax.
