Responsibilities include: Lead rigorous financial management, budgeting and long-term planning in line with legislative and statutory obligations.
Oversee procurement, contract management, finance and property & leasing and compliance functions, ensuring robust processes and outcomes.
Provide expert advice to Council, the Audit & Risk Committee, and the Executive Team.
Drive strategic partnerships with the community, Council, State and Federal agencies; lead and inspire multi-disciplinary teams across finance, property & leasing, procurement and contract management.
About You You are a highly resilient and collaborative leader with: CA or CPA qualification.
Demonstrated expertise in procurement, contract management, and legal interpretation.
Strong financial acumen at senior executive level.
Proven ability to lead change, manage complexity, and influence at Board/Council level.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience may come from within Local Government or from other complex sectors where governance, finance, and contract management are critical.
