The outdoor pool deck on level six is set to become a popular destination, featuring a cocktail bar, a beach club offering private cabanas, and al fresco dining options.
About The Role An exciting opportunity exists for a Director of Finance to be part of the pre-opening team for the first Andaz hotel in Australia located on the Gold Coast.
You will be responsible for overseeing the successful opening of the hotel and once open, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel Finance function on a day-to-day basis, working closely with your team and ensuring deliverables to all stakeholders.
Some of the responsibilities include: Ensure all accounting practices comply with all Company and Government regulations Compile, update and maintain all budgets and forecasts Administer and control all cash management for the Hotel Administration of all insurance matters in conjunction with local brokers Liaise with internal and external auditors Work closely with Departments to ensure payroll management and efficiencies Maintain capital expenditure register Proactively initiate communication with Owners.
Actively lead, coach and mentor all members of the Finance team to ensure they are equipped to do their job while also developing them for the future.
Qualifications Previous experience in a similar role within the hotel industry is essential.
