About The Opportunity Reporting to the People & Culture Director, the Senior People & Culture Advisor will play a critical role in supporting the College's HR operations and strategic direction.
This is an ideal position for a values-led HR professional with experience managing complex employee relations, driving operational HR excellence, and leading a small team within a multifaceted environment.
This is a key appointment in the People & Culture team and an exciting opportunity to help shape the employee experience in a mission-driven organisation.
Key Responsibilities Provide expert HR advice and support across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, retention, and offboarding Manage cyclical HR processes including contract management, compliance reporting, and award interpretation Ensure compliance with Fair Work legislation, NES, and relevant industrial instruments Lead and guide HR staff to deliver high-quality and consistent service Advise and support leaders on a range of employee relations matters such as performance concerns, investigations, and workplace conflict resolution Partner with stakeholders to ensure people practices align with College objectives and regulatory obligations Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in line with best practice and legislative changes Maintain data integrity across HRIS platforms and generate accurate reports and workforce insights Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement across HR services About You The ideal candidate will possess: Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline At least 5 years of experience in a senior HR advisory or business partnering capacity, preferably within education or similarly complex sectors In-depth understanding of Australian employment law, ER/IR frameworks, and compliance requirements Demonstrated success in leading and mentoring HR professionals Advanced capability in award interpretation, policy development, and operational HR practices Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels A high level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism Proficiency with HRIS platforms and data reporting Full Australian working rights What's on Offer A senior role in a purpose-led and respected educational institution A collaborative and inclusive workplace culture The opportunity to lead HR initiatives that make a tangible impact on employee experience and organisational outcomes Access to ongoing professional development and support How to Apply Troocoo is managing this recruitment process exclusively on behalf of St Peters Lutheran College.
