We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HSE Advisor, based in our office in Seven Hills, to work in our WHS team.
Your goal is to provide broad generalist support to the business on all health and safety matters and ensure the Safety Management System and associated policies and procedures are implemented effectively.
Key to the success of this role is being able to continue the growth of our strong safety culture, by coaching and influencing across all levels of the organisation.
This is a hands-on, autonomous role and will require someone with the capacity to manage the day-to-day operational aspects as well looking at the bigger picture.
Key responsibilities of this role include but not limited to: Conducting incident investigations and inspections and assist project teams with incident investigations and implementing corrective actions Championing the safety strategy and Safety Management System Monitoring WHSE performance within area of responsibility Maintain ISO quality and safety records for audit Monitor works carried out on site to ensure compliance with SWMS Coordinate, administer and ensure compliance to statutory and RFI's WHSE policies, guidelines, and procedures Provide coaching and advice to Project Managers and Engineering teams Identify training needs and develop and deliver HSE training for employee and contractors Drive key projects focusing on zero harm and continuous improvement You will also have relevant tertiary qualifications (minimum Cert IV in WHS or ideally tertiary qualifications) and 2 – 5 years WHS experience – gained within a Telco / Construction / Engineering environment is ideal.
Formal incident investigation training (ICAM), and hands on experience with ISO certifications is highly desirable.
You will be resilient and have a demonstrated consultative approach, with exceptional communication skills, able to engage stakeholders and facilitate training.
There will also be interstate travel.
