In this role, you'll: Join the outstanding Sydney Metro team as the Director Operations for the M1 Metro North West & Bankstown Line.
You will provide leadership, oversight and management of the operations of the incredible, high performing Sydney Metro M1 line from Tallawong in the North West through the Sydney CBD to Sydenham, and in the future on to Bankstown.
In this senior leadership role, you will be working collaboratively with Northwest Rapid Transit (NRT) and the M1 line operator & maintainer Metro Trains Sydney (MTS) through our Public Private Partnership (PPP) to ensure delivery of safe, integrated, reliable, customer focused and efficient metro passenger services.
You will lead an integrated cross-functional Sydney Metro team focused on operational delivery and performance, contract management, operational readiness, customer experience and communications, as well as maintenance and asset lifecycle management activities.
You and your team are key to Sydney Metro in its role as an informed client and will ensure maximum return on investment and value for money for NSW government.
You will create and maintain strong collaborative relationships with delivery partner senior leadership teams, to provide strategic direction and drive the delivery of a world-class metro line with an organisational culture of continuous improvement and robust operational capability.
You will ensure the operations team partners with both matrixed and embedded resources from across Sydney Metro and Transport cluster to support the existing metro line and build knowledge and capability to support delivery and operations of future metro lines.

You will receive an attractive remuneration package at the TSSE 1 B Band.
Sydney Metro offers hybrid flexibility for this position where you can mix work-from-home with office-based days in our George St office.

About you You hold tertiary qualification in Business, Management, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience in railway operations.
You have a strategic 50-year commercial mindset with big picture thinking and the ability to step out of the day to day to display proven executive level leadership and management.
