Security Consultant About us Digital Intelligence operates in multiple countries with over 4,800 experts in data, digital, cyber, and intelligence within the BAE Systems Group.
We deliver digital expertise to our customers, partners, and other parts of the Group, helping organizations like governments and armed forces address digital challenges.
Cyber security consultants are vital to our delivery and provide diverse services to our clients.
We seek talented individuals to offer subject-matter expertise, focusing on helping clients protect against security risks and implement new security capabilities across ICT and operational technology (OT) systems.
About you You are dedicated, skilled, knowledgeable, and passionate about your work and supporting the national cyber mission.
About the role Assess risks at the technical or system process level, ensuring compliance with security control frameworks.
Draft high-quality risk assessments and reports, identifying security issues and recommending improvements.
Categorize threats, threat actors, and vulnerabilities through security threat and risk assessments of ICT and OT systems.
Develop security policies, procedures, and plans for effective governance.
Collaborate with peers across the business, both locally and internationally, to add value, build networks, and share experiences.
Understand the business and information risk context of our customers.
Evaluate risks at technical and business process levels and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
Review control effectiveness and propose security improvements.
Research security technologies to support innovative solutions.
Functional requirements Measure the effectiveness of controls.
Assess business impact through document reviews and questionnaires.
Support interviews, investigations, on-site visits, and workshops.
Communicate with customers to manage cyber security risks.
Be familiar with standards like the Australian Government ISM and ISO 27001.
Possess or be working towards relevant industry certifications such as SANS ICS515, CISA, CRISC, GICSP, or Comp TIA Security+.
Hold or be willing to obtain a national security clearance.
Business skills and interpersonal qualities Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in stakeholder management.
Attention to detail, proactive, organized.
