We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to step into the role of Director of Early Learning Centres on a 6-month fixed-term basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to our network of early learning centres.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the continued delivery of exceptional programs, fostering a positive and collaborative culture, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
Mount Scopus Memorial College is a co-educational Jewish School from Early Learning to Year 12 across three campuses; St Kilda East, Caulfield South and Burwood.  Our Early Learning Centres (Long Day Care) are based in St Kilda East and Caulfield South.  You do not need to be Jewish to apply for this role, but you should have a worldview that is sympathetic to the Jewish ethos.  We offer education of excellence, enhanced by a wide array of co-curricular opportunities.
Jewish identity, Hebrew and the centrality of Israel are integral to learning and play, and are taught in a modern, engaging way.  This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced leader with 3 to 5+ years' experience, a proven track record of strong leadership and management experience, and excellent communication skills.  The Director will work closely with and be supported by the Assistant Director of Early Learning to lead the organisation and running of the ELC's across Mount Scopus Memorial College.
As this is a fixed term position, there will be limited exposure and input to the educational direction and innovation of the ELC, and involvement in recruitment and staffing.  We are seeking an individual who is able to promote the Mount Scopus brand to generate enrolments with prospective parents, and also to provide current parents with support, guidance and information in relation to their child's progress.  As our Early Learning Centres are affiliated with the Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate, an understanding of inquiry learning and the PYP would be an advantage for this position, but is not essential.   The successful candidate will have a breadth of experience in the Early Learning environment, and may be an experienced Director or someone looking for their next step.  The successful applicant will require a Working With Children Check and be willing to obtain a National Police Check.  Extensive experience in the early childhood education sector, with a proven track record in leadership and management.
A deep understanding of child development, pedagogy, and best practices in early learning.
Sound knowledge of National Law and National Regulations, NQS and the Early Years Learning Framework Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
A relevant tertiary qualification in early childhood education or a related field.
A current Working with Children Check.
Support the development of positive relationships with families, fostering open communication and partnership in children's learning journey.
