
Director - Psychological Health

Reporting to the Chief Health and Safety Officer, the Director will lead and oversee Work Safe's response to psychological health regulation, ensuring expectations on compliance and enforcement are met.
The role will be responsible for ensuring greater alignment between Work Safe's resources in psychological health as well as providing strong leadership and oversight of Work Safe's psychological health teams including Psychosocial Inspectorate, Psychological Health and Safety Specialists, and Programs teams to ensure clear alignment of work to Work Safe's strategy.
Key Responsibilities Lead Work Safe's operational response to psychological health regulation and ensure expectations on compliance and enforcement are clear and well-managed, enabling a collaborative, unified and high quality response to psychosocial hazards.
Drive an outstanding service delivery culture that is committed to Work Safe's values and providing a prevention-led, data driven and client focussed service to our community.
This includes leading effective collaboration and communication across Work Safe to achieve business priorities.
Represent Work Safe by providing strategic and specialist advice to promote continued high-level support, understanding and achievement of Work Safe psychological health objectives by industry, government (both State and National) and professional bodies.

About you To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record of transformational, constructive and accountable leadership as well as be an excellent communicator, with interpersonal and consultative skills and the ability to influence a diverse group of stakeholders to achieve a desired outcome.
You will bring a comprehensive understanding of the legal, policy and operational environment (psychological health) and proven ability to deliver improvement initiatives supported by research and analysis.
