Line 1 Senior Risk Manager

Add expected salary to your profile for insights We are seeking an enthusiastic Line 1 Senior Risk Manager looking to further their career in the Banking and Finance industry.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Line 1 Senior Risk Manager will be pivotal in enhancing the operational risk and compliance functions of BNK's lending and banking operations functions to ensure that regulatory requirements are met and risk and compliance is embedded in our operational teams.
What you will bring · Minimum 10 years' experience in the financial services industry including at least 5 years in a risk management role.
· Deep working knowledge of Credit Risk and Responsible Lending.
· Demonstrated understanding of regulatory requirements applying to the financial services sector including APRA, ASX and ASIC regulations and legislation.
· Bachelor's degree in business/finance/economics/law or other relevant discipline · Excellent problem solving and observational skills, with the ability to identify and provide trusted advice on risk matters.
· Demonstrated ability to be detail-focused and able to explain issues and concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing.
Key Responsibilities · Advise, review, challenge and lead Line 1 compliance and risk management functions.
· Develop, implement and administer simple and easy to understand policies and procedures for Line 1 functions which focuses employees on incorporating compliance and risk management into their day to day activities in an efficient and cost effective manner.
· Lead Line 1 audit activity including preparation, participation, review and follow up of findings; · Implement the Risk Management Framework to ensure that risk management and compliance are embedded within the culture of the company · Take ownership of the hindsight framework including loan reviews; and complete deposit and lending broker reviews including AML/KYC.
