Role Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Community Village Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Temporary Housing Brunswick Heads Pod Village.
This role will focus on the management of resident occupancy in line with the Occupation Agreement, acting on behalf of the NSW Reconstruction Authority, and engaging with Homes NSW and other local housing providers.
The successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation of allocated pods, maintain strong resident relationships, and provide effective support in connecting occupants with relevant services, while upholding Uniting's values and commitment to community wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities As the Community Village Manager, you will:
Administer Occupancy Agreements in line with NSW Reconstruction Authority and Homes NSW policies, with support from the Tenancy Management Lead.
Arrange viewings and sign-up processes for new occupants and conduct regular inspections of individual pods and arrange necessary maintenance.
Work in partnership with the Communities Team to refer occupants to appropriate support providers.
Manage allocated budgets and targets, including maximising income and minimising arrears or occupant debt.
Maintain accurate resident records in the CRM or other tenant management systems.
Manage and resolve occupant queries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
Ensure compliance with NSW Reconstruction Authority and Homes NSW requirements, particularly regarding maintenance standards and timeliness.
Monitor and support residents with higher or more complex needs, referring them to other Uniting services as appropriate.
Minimise vacancy turnaround times through timely information sharing and coordination of refurbishment works.
Assist residents with applications for social housing, income support, or other relevant services.
Support positive resident transitions into longer-term housing solutions, including social, affordable, or other accommodation.
Qualifications and Experience Typically, this role requires at least two years' relevant experience in housing, property, or community management, as well as:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organisational skills with a systematic, thorough, and disciplined approach.
Ability to navigate complex organisations, build relationships, and manage through influence.
Proven capacity to work effectively under pressure, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Commercial awareness with a focus on driving improvements in service and operations.
Understanding of property asset management and occupant engagement.
Desirable
Previous experience in retirement living, social housing, or affordable housing settings.
Experience working with or supporting First Nations communities.
