Neonatal Registrars - Apply through VPAT - open 30th June - 28th July - https://vpat.au
Applications are sought from suitably qualified medical practitioners for Neonatal Registrar positions in 2026.
Positions are available commencing 2nd February 2025 and 3rd August 2026 and may be for 6 or 12 months; full-time or part-time.
All applications to be submitted through VPAT (Victorian Paediatric Advanced Training Portal) vpat.au.
Please note that registrars must have 6 months of tertiary NICU experience before applying for this position.

Registrar positions are suitable for trainees in Neonatology, General Paediatrics or other Paediatric subspecialties who wish to gain tertiary neonatal experience.
The Royal Children's Hospital is a paediatric teaching hospital, and it's Newborn Intensive Care Unit acts as a quaternary referral centre for neonates with complex medical and surgical problems from Victoria, it's neighbouring states, and overseas.
The Unit is the major regional centre for neonatal surgery and is recognised for it's expertise in the provision of advanced respiratory support.
There is an active research program in several areas.

A minimum of 6 months previous experience in neonatal intensive care is essential and successful candidates must be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
Please note - outstanding applicants without the required NICU experience who have experience in critical critical areas, including PICU or anaesthetics, may be considered.
