WHAT SOUTH32 OFFERS26 weeks full-paid, or 52 weeks half-paid parental leave for primary carers The opportunity to become a shareholder of South32 through our share plans Options for additional superannuation contributions Annual short-term incentive bonus that recognises both your individual performance and the overall success of the business ABOUT THE ROLEThis role is a Permanent position on an even time sportsman's 5,4,5 roster, DIDO from our Boddington Bauxite Mine, is located a short drive from the community of Boddington (10 minutes), Pinjarra (50 minutes) and the City of Mandurah (1 hour).
Please note there is NO CAMP onsite this role requires travel in every shift.
As the Supervisor Mine Services the purpose of your role it to supervise the execution of development mining activities undertaken by front-line operational personnel in line with the production plan and targets for HSEC, cost, and volume.
Other key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Monitoring and managing operational performance, productivity and other KPI's Perform frequent workplace and equipment inspections to ensure ongoing safety, reliability and compliance Deliver effective Contractor Management to deliver the expected business performance outcomes Provide direction and support to direct reports Spend appropriate time in the field to supervise the execution of the operations plan to achieve established KPI targets at a shift and crew level Ensure development mining execution activities are conducted safely by competent personnel in accordance with the relevant standards and operating procedures.
ABOUT YOUYou will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: Exceptional safety leadership with the ability to identify and eliminate hazards in the workplace Ability to support/guide peers and less experienced team members Ability to make a strategic contribution by assigning or re-assigning work, interpreting policy, explaining and providing a framework for projects.
