Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of life sciences insurance? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Life Sciences Underwriter to join our team and contribute to our mission of achieving excellence in profit, growth, and client relations.
Your Role: As a Life Sciences Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our department, branch, and corporate goals.
Your expertise will help us achieve financial targets and maintain strong relationships with producers and clients.
Your Responsibilities: Financial Achievement: Meet and exceed your personal premium budget and financial targets.
Underwriting Excellence: Select new risks and underwrite renewals for your assigned book of business, focusing on specialty classes or market segments.
Present complex accounts for approval and provide technical leadership within the department.
Strategic Marketing & Service: Identify and develop new business opportunities, build long-term relationships with key producers and insureds, and promote the Chubb Life Science appetite within the commercial broker network.
Planning & Budgeting: Contribute to profit analysis, premium planning, and market strategies while staying within assigned expense budgets.
Qualifications Your Skills & Experience Minimum of three years of underwriting experience in life science insurance.
Broad experience and understanding of life science insurance.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Creative problem-solving abilities for unique underwriting situations.
Strong time management and advanced pricing technique knowledge.
Familiarity with key accounts and competitor products/services.
Ability to influence decisions and work collaboratively with others.
