About the role We are delighted to announce that we are inviting applications for the role of Team Leader (Operational) at our UG Operation in South Australia.
Operating on a 8/6 roster, the team leader is a critical role pivotal in overseeing Bulk Delivery Operations to UG customers directly from the field site, while also providing essential support to other sites within the South Australian Region.
Attending client meetings, performing incident investigations, and playing a key role in developing safety management plans are just some of the duties the Team Leader will perform.
This role can either be viewed as a long-term and secure site-based Supervisory role, or an ideal stepping stone into a Senior Site Supervisor career with Orica.
What you will be doing Living and breathing Orica's safety values always and a drive to increase operational discipline.
Train, Lead and motivate a highly skilled team of MCU Operators; Provide analytical/decision support to Territory manager on continuous improvement plan.
Coordinate logistics of raw materials, equipment, and MCU Operators / Fitters / Vendors Ensuring operational process meets Orica standards and customer's expectations.
Change management, project management, people management, report generation, prep and conduct customer meetings.
Maintains professional relationships within Orica and with customers.
Maintenance and customer training of the Hypercharge units.
Conduct infield leadership and audits.
MCU Operation(UG Charging) , Gasser Manufacture and POD Transfers.
What you will bring5+ years of proven UG Charging experience in an operational leadership role.
Strong fault finding and mechanical aptitude essential; Cert IV Trainer Assessor Qualifications (or ability to attain)Qualifications in frontline management and project management (demonstrated)Knowledge of the UG mining / explosives industry is essential Effective communication skills, written and verbal.
Intermediate to Advanced MS Office Suite Skills Essential.
Sound knowledge of good operational practices and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated previous experience leading and managing people, assets and customers.
High developed computer literacy for day-to-day requirements.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Ability to effectively lead and train small groups Experience in system / process / risk improvements Thorough knowledge of Orica Mining Services Operations (preferred)Decisive: You have the ability and experience in making decisions quickly and soundly.
