As an underground service locator, you will play a key role in conducting underground service location assessments and utility surveying. Collaborating closely with project managers, office teams, and client representatives, you will utilize electromagnetic service locators and ground penetration radar to identify the depth, orientation, and position of underground assets.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct asset investigation using Dial Before You Dig plans.
- Utilize Electromagnetic Service Locator and Ground Penetration Radar to identify depth, orientation, and position of underground assets.
- Communicate findings effectively with project stakeholders.
- Review plans to ensure all data has been collected and annotated correctly.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in underground utility locating.
- Record keeping, data entry, sketches, and instructions as required to complete works safely.
- Ability to read and interpret Dial Before You Dig plans.
- DBYD Certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum three years of demonstrated experience as an underground service locator.
- Ability to liaise with clients and project stakeholders.
- Ability and willingness to undertake physical work.
- Experience identifying types of services/utilities and providers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Driver's License (C Class minimum).
- Commitment to safety & quality.
- White Card.
