About the Opportunity We have a great opportunity at Metcash for a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our IBA team.
Reporting to the IBA Sales Operations Manager, your responsibility will be to engage our valued retailers, ensuring that they maximise their business opportunities through the layers of support and programs built within the retail brands associated with Independent Brands Australia (IBA).
This role involves travel approximately 30% of the time.
As a trusted liquor retail business advisor, you will leverage your relationship management skills to ensure delivery of key IBA initiatives and programs.
Your ability to drive sales and help members to deliver a brilliant liquor store experiences will be integral to achieve sales budgets and build our store footprint in the highly competitive liquor market.
You will seek out opportunities to increase the membership base with our national retail brands in Cellarbrations, The Bottle-O and Thirsty Camel Key to your success will be driving excellence in execution across our retail brands and members' stores, through driving market penetration of our owned and exclusive range as well as the ongoing roll out of our digital integration strategies, loyalty programs and other market leading initiatives.
In this Role Build and maintain customer relationships within our liquor retail network.
Sound understanding of Territory Management including call cycle, territory plan and time management.
Managing the existing territory customer base, while supporting new retail development and Greenfields sites.
Championing state level marketing promotions, critical communications and all IBA initiatives.
Handling administration by maintaining accurate customer records, weekly sales reporting, market intelligence and cost control.
You're Likely a Match If Experience in liquor retail, with a strong understanding of the customer and store environment A proven track record in sales-driven roles Solid knowledge of the liquor and FMCG industries Confident understanding of liquor products Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong financial acumen and commercial awareness Life in IBA at Metcash Experience a supportive and flexible work environment.
