Your work will directly influence how Defence invests in, develops, and deploys digital capabilities across the next decade.
You'll partner with capability leads, program teams, and technical specialists to translate strategic vision into clear, achievable roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities Lead the sustainment of the digital strategy and technology roadmaps.
Align technology solutions with business needs through strategic planning and consolidation of the technology estate.
Leverage Application Portfolio Management and taxonomy to optimise the technology landscape in support of business capabilities.
Analyse complex enterprise environments to identify technology gaps, overlaps, risks, and opportunities.
Promote innovative thinking while ensuring compliance with Defence ICT frameworks and governance processes.
Contribute to the design of a future technology environment with enhanced interoperability and integration across systems.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP).
This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement (DECA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability.

About our Team The Defence Digital Group (DDG) operates to generate and sustain digital capabilities and effects in order to defend Australia and its national interests.
Its vision is a secure, integrated, and scalable information and communications environment able to fight and win in the digital age.
Architecture and Strategy Branch is responsible for promulgating ICT architecture blueprints and delivering the Defence Digital Strategy and Roadmaps as the accountable authority leading the Defence ICT technology landscape.

You will bring : Experience in enterprise architecture, ICT strategy, business analysis, policy, data analytics, or similar complex environments.
The ability to translate big-picture thinking into actionable plans.
Proven ability to communicate with, and influence, diverse stakeholders at all levels.
A collaborative, inclusive approach to working with stakeholders.
A willingness to learn new tools, frameworks, and methods.
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
Highly motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving and delivering results.
