Sime is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our Assurance team at our Hastings Deering office in Brisbane.
The role will cover Sime's operations both in the Industrial and Motors division in Australasia.
This is a permanent full time role, reporting to the Executive Manager, Group Corporate Assurance Australasia In this position, you will: Build strong relationships across the business to support value-added insights and improvements.
Contribute to the development and execution of the annual audit plan Lead and deliver end-to-end audit that are linked to strategy.
Oversee work program development, scope assessment, and ensure quality execution.
Conduct special, investigative, and confidential reviews as needed.
Analyse data to identify business-relevant insights, assess risks to business objectives, and ensure compliance with legal and internal requirements.
Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders.
Guide and support team members, including performance evaluation and training.
Ensure timely closure of findings and follow-up on action plans.
Maintain professional standards and promote continuous improvement in assurance practices.

Paid parental leave options Salary continuance insurance About You Relevant experience in internal audit within a large, diverse organisation, particularly in Mining, Heavy Equipment, Automotive industries, including experience working for Public Accounting Firms Ability to independently manage a small team Established knowledge of accounting and database systems, with an ability to understand new system environments Strategic awareness - connecting assurance work to business strategy.
Tertiary qualified CA/CPA/CIA qualified Strong digital capabilities, including experience in data analytics, preparing dashboards (i.e Power BI) and the use of audit analytics tools to enhance audit effectiveness.
Will be adept at interpreting complex data, leveraging technology to identify risks and insights, and driving innovation in audit practices.
