Managing Consultant

The ideal candidate will have between 5-8 years' experience in contaminated site management consulting experience, with strong field work skills acquired across a range of site uses and contaminant types.
You will be part of a dynamic technical team responsible for consulting on contaminated sites largely within NSW on a range of investigation and remediation projects.
If you have the following experience, we would love to hear from you.
Previous consulting experience (between 5-8 years) in contaminated land industry; Relevant tertiary qualification (geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, environmental engineering, soil science or other related science subject degree); High appreciation and understanding of health & safety requirements on complex work sites, including conducting intrusive drilling and excavation works; Leadership and co-ordination of field programs, including mentoring of junior colleagues; Proven report writing skills including engagement in the Certified Environmental Practitioner Scheme or professional industry bodies; Proven experience in supervising and managing sub-contractors on site; Competency in preliminary and detailed site investigation and sampling techniques involving data collection (soil, water, soil vapour, etc.) is required and a working knowledge of the ASC NEPM; Willingness to travel; Authorised to work full-time in Australia; and Full Drivers Licence issued by an Australian state or territory.
Role responsibilities: Supervise fieldwork programs, including subcontractors and ERM personnel on site; Undertake environmental assessments and remediation works involving the collection of field data (soil, soil gas/vapour, groundwater); Preparation of or providing inputs into complex technical reports in accordance with relevant guidelines and legislation; Electronic data management and production of borelogs and summary tables; Assist with the preparation of client proposals; Support project managers through planning and delivering field programs and/or budget/task management.
