Join to apply for the Senior Legal Counsel role at VGW Continue with Google Continue with Google 2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Join to apply for the Senior Legal Counsel role at VGW Senior Legal Counsel (12-month fixed-term contract)VGW is an interactive entertainment company, harnessing technology and creativity to deliver world-class, free-to-play online social games.We have an exciting opportunity to join our Legal team in Sydney and are currently looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.As Senior Legal Counsel at VGW, you'll provide strategic, commercially focused legal support, help shape the way we work through ongoing legal operations improvements, and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team by mentoring junior team members.Key responsibilities will include:Providing clear, strategic legal advice across a wide range of commercial and regulatory matters Building strong relationships across the business and helping teams better understand legal risk Sharing knowledge and supporting team development through training and mentoring Contributing to legal operations improvements and helping evolve internal processes What you will bring to the role:Admitted to practice law in Australia, with strong commercial experience, ideally gained in the technology sector Confident drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts, ideally with some IP or licensing experience Able to work independently, manage competing priorities and take ownership of your matters Comfortable navigating complex legal issues and providing clear, practical advice Great communicator and team player, with the ability to build strong relationships across the business Prior experience in gaming or working with regulators in highly regulated industries (like the MGA) is advantageous but not required About VGWVGW is an interactive entertainment company, harnessing technology and creativity to deliver world-class, free-to-play online social games.Our high-quality, acclaimed brands include Chumba Casino, Global Poker and Lucky Land Slots, which are enjoyed by millions of players in North America.Our games are based on a freemium model, meaning they are available to play at no cost, but include optional in-game purchases to enhance gameplay.
