Manager, Software Development Apply locations: Hyderabad - India   |   Employment type: Full time   |   Posted on: Posted 21 Days Ago   |   Job requisition id: R0012311 About the role Blackbaud is hiring a Manager of Software Development to lead engineering teams responsible for developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining Blackbaud's products.
The role involves establishing engineering best practices, identifying gaps in processes, managing strategic projects, and empowering teams.
The manager will lead by example, foster innovation, and develop employees through goal setting and coaching.
What you'll do Lead one or more engineering teams in an agile environment.
Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing team members, aligning their work with organizational goals.
Manage performance through goal setting, coaching, recognition, and feedback via regular one-on-ones and check-ins.
Collaborate with Product Management to define objectives, prioritize backlogs, and align engineering efforts with market needs.
Drive continuous improvement of development processes through collaboration with peers and architects.
What you'll bring3+ years of experience managing software development teams in an agile setting.
Proven success in delivering large-scale projects from inception to release.
Experience managing complex product portfolios across multiple teams.
Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, including design patterns, decoupled architectures, TDD, and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with modern software development technologies.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence results.
Flexibility to work hours as required by business needs.
Preferred qualifications Experience developing cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure or AWS, with understanding of Saa S, Paa S, and Iaa S models.
Hands-on experience with Azure services (AKS, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL), Azure Dev Ops, and Angular.
Experience managing remote teams both onshore and offshore.
Track record of implementing process and technology changes across organizational boundaries.
