Territory Sales Manager - Distribution - VIC /TAS Epping, Australia | Posted on 06/12/2025 The Territory Sales Manager - Distribution - VIC/TAS is responsible for building profitable sales of the company's products and services to both new and existing customers, and for aligning accounts against competitor draw.
Building strong client relationships is key to developing long-term, repeat customer loyalty and negotiating the best margin outcomes.

Key Responsibilities A key objective is to achieve and exceed revenue targets in sales and gross profit, as set by the National Sales Manager.
This involves securing new opportunities, developing robust sales plans, growing sales to existing clients, and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with customers.
Attain and increase sales targets while maintaining GP in the allocated territories; Research and seek new account customers; Strategically plan and schedule face-to-face sales calls; Notify the National Sales Manager of any unscheduled sales; Record details of each face-to-face sales call in CRM, including notes on discussions, follow-up actions, and timings; Follow up with customers after each visit; Coordinate go-to-market strategies with customers in remote locations to boost awareness, training, and product launches; Assist customers in training their sales staff about our products and industry knowledge; Provide marketing support and materials to increase sales; Service and contact individual stores of national accounts as requested; Process sales orders if designated customer service personnel are unavailable; Enhance product and industry knowledge to provide technical support; Manage specific product groups to become a field expert and oversee sales growth; Attend and support trade exhibitions as needed; Utilize software tools like Phocas for sales analysis; Gather market intelligence on trends, pricing, and new opportunities; Respond to customer requests and resolve disputes; Promote company programs such as USP's, ILD, and Megarewards; Assist finance with debt collection and customer credit assessments; Inform sales or procurement teams about new inquiries and leads; Understand company account and credit policies; Coordinate and manage monthly product training sessions; Maintain high customer service standards; Record all customer communications in CRM; Upsell and cross-sell where appropriate; Follow pricing rules and promote specials during calls; Use relevant business software effectively; Participate in training programs and implement learned benefits.
