We are working with a well-established law firm of over 80 staff in Sydney's CBD.
This practice has earned its reputation over a long period; they own their office space, and their strategic foundations are as solid as their balance sheet.
The Family Law Practice Led by an experienced partner with deep expertise and vision, the family law team is one of the firm's strongest groups.
The team has over a dozen employees, including support staff.
They operate in a highly collaborative structure with meaningful work across both parenting and property matters.
The work will typically be 50% complex financial and property matters (including trusts, business interests, and high-value asset pools) and 50% parenting matters.
The Need This firm is busy, and they are seeking a Family Lawyer with 3+ years of post-qualification experience, who is looking to step into the city market and build their next chapter among serious professionals.
Ideal candidates will: Be articulate, commercially minded, and compassionate.
Be comfortable handling complex financial matters (not just basic parenting disputes).
Have the vision and drive to grow within a long-term structure.
The Environment The firm is open to one day per week from home but prefers in-office presence to maintain momentum and communication.
Most matters are managed by three-person teams (lawyer, PA, and paralegal).
Budgets are realistic — 6 billable hours per day, with flexibility where necessary.
The workplace is social, well-connected, and engaged.
They enjoy cross-practice collaboration, events, and an unpretentious but high-performing culture.
Their family law alumni include four current Senior Registrars and three Division Judges.
