Job Summary We have an excellent opportunity for a Locum Nurse Practitioner to join our team at The Birches Medical Centre and Martlesham Heath Surgery.

We are looking for a locum Nurse Practitioner to help us provide outstanding primary healthcare, supporting the increasing demand.
Applicants should have Primary Care Nursing skills and experience.
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Lead Practice Nurse and Senior GPs.
Main duties of the job Conducting comprehensive clinical examinations Diagnosing based on medical history, assessments, and examinations Requesting and analyzing specimens (blood, urine, etc.)Creating treatment plans and prescribing medications Providing post-surgical care Offering patient instructions on nutrition, weight management, etc.
Performing routine medical procedures Evaluating patients periodically and referring to specialists as needed This role is to provide cover for annual leave and sickness, supporting our current Nursing/HCA team during busy periods.

Person Specification Qualifications Bachelor's degree in nursing and approved apprenticeship Masters degree in advanced clinical or nursing practice Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council or HCPCExperience Knowledge of nursing pillars, counselling, psychology Strong customer service, empathy, and communication skills Ability to handle stressful situations calmly Experience managing own caseloads and making autonomous decisions Desirable: Specialism in Respiratory.
