The Role Norwest Private Hospital is currently seeking applications for a Nurse Unit Manager for our Emergency Department.
Our busy Emergency Department sees over 14000 adults and paediatric presentations per year with 41% of these converting to hospital admissions.
We fully participate in the NSW Ambulance matrix system.
As the Emergency Department Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), you will have strong leadership capabilities to manage a dedicated team, and a commitment to providing excellent patient-centred care and service to optimise outcomes and maximise experience.
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic NUM who is passionate about ED and leading a cohesive team that is focused on patient experience and outcomes.

Recent experience in managing an Emergency Department is preferable and youwill be part of a supportive and progressive management team within the hospital.
Your personal attributes : Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Excellent interpersonal skills Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills Demonstrated planning and organisational skills Well-developed problem solving and conflict resolution skills Demonstrated effective change management skills Demonstrated commitment and provision of exceptional service Proven ability to lead a team, providing teaching, coaching and mentoring Professional self-awareness and reflective practice Ability to engage, motivate and collaboratively influence others of all disciplines to achieve required outcomes Demonstrated professional / positive approach Act as a role model to staff In this role you will have : Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent A minimum of 5 years' clinical care experience in a relevant speciality Desirable Qualifications : Postgraduate qualification in Leadership and Management / or a relevant clinical speciality Experience in managing a department (including acting or deputising into the Manager role)Experience in the private healthcare sector Benefits on offer : Discounted onsite parking Discounted gym memberships, including Fitness Passport Employee Assistance Programs
