As part of the TMHA National Safety Team, this role exists to mitigate risks of workplace injuries across TMHA and effectively manage the injury management and rehabilitation process for injured employees when injuries occur.
It is responsible for supporting TMHA operations by providing strong, professional and well considered injury management advice and guidance.
Please note that this role in not a hybrid role and requires attendance in our Head Office located in Moorebank 5 days per week.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Coordinating and administration of Workers Compensation insurance premiums estimates and actuals, in conjunction with payroll team.
This involves preparing the submissions to ensure the renewals processes are followed and insurances are current.
Effectively manage and coordinate injury management across TMHA by case managing and providing professional advice to relevant managers and branch-based Return to Work Coordinator.
Liaise with insurers in different states and territories across Australia in ensuring the most effective and proactive management of claims and injuries and ensuring successful rehabilitation of injured employees
Be familiar with all relevant workers compensation legal frameworks in all states and territories across Australia
Have strong working knowledge of all TMHA workplace injuries and coordinate all rehabilitation and injury management activities associated with such injuries
Assist the NSCM to Undertake in-depth investigations into workplace injuries to identify root courses of such injuries and prevent future workplace injuries
Manage and administer TMHA workers compensation insurance policies, including submitting all required information to insurers, reviewing and projecting TMHA claims cost and premium cost
Advise and assist TMHA Management and Return-to-Work Coordinators with day to day implementation of injury management and workers compensation claims strategies and activities to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.

Skills and Experience:

Tertiary qualification in Safety, Social Science, Occupational physio, Ergonomics, Human Resources or other related fields
Minimum of 5 years of injury management experience with significant operational exposure to the industrial sector, including manufacturing/logistics or other relevant industries
Very strong working knowledge of WHS and Workers Compensation legislation across all Australian states and territories.
Very strong interpersonal skills (including influential skills) with an ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders
Strong computer skills including Excel proficiency
Strong analytical and investigative skills
Experience in implementing new safety methodologies and initiatives (Desirable)
Internal auditing experience (Desirable)
Expertise in workplace incident investigation (Desirable)
