Senior Rehabilitation Consultant - Reg Psych/Rehab Counsellor

IPAR is a national occupational rehabilitation provider supporting thousands of people who may be living with an illness, disability, or injury. Through workplace rehabilitation, counselling, injury prevention or finding new employment, our care is tailored to each individual. Our team includes Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Psychologists and Rehabilitation Counsellors. IPAR is part of the MedHealth network, focusing on meaningful outcomes for clients.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting clients in employment or education under schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs.
  • Conducting Vocational Assessments, ETE Assessments, Earning Capacity Assessments, Employability Assessments, Transferrable Skills Assessments and Labour Market Research.
  • Case management with caseloads supported by Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks.
  • Applying clinical knowledge to improve return-to-work outcomes.
  • Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.
  • Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical and other allied health professionals.
  • Assisting individuals with injuries or health conditions to achieve return-to-health and return-to-work outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in Occupational Rehabilitation is preferred.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences or Rehabilitation Counselling.
  • General or Provisional registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with ASORC.
  • Strong communication skills and empathy; ability to engage with clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence and access to own car with comprehensive insurance.
