As a Data Scientist, you'll help translate big questions into actionable insights, turning complex data into models and stories that guide smarter decisions across the business.
Whether it's forecasting customer behaviour, uncovering growth opportunities or driving operational improvements, your work will directly contribute to shaping better outcomes for our customers and community.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for: Exploring large, curated datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Designing and building models using statistical and machine learning techniques.
Hypothesis formulation/testing, optimisations and deep dives to support decision-making across teams.
Building, developing and maintaining analytical/machine-learning/data products.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product, Marketing, and Operations.
Communicating insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Working within cloud environments (e.g.
AWS or GCP) using Python and/or R, SQL, and industry-standard libraries and visualisation tools (e.g tableau, etc).
Mentor junior analysts and help lift the broader analytics capability.
This role is permanent, full-time based in the Sydney support office.
What sets you apart We are seeking a curious, hands-on Data Scientist who enjoys solving complex problems and working closely with diverse teams.
You bring a strong foundation in statistics, machine learning, and coding, and you're not afraid to get stuck into messy, real-world data.
You thrive in collaborative, social environments and know how to bridge the gap between data and business decisions.
You will be: Qualified with a Ph D - in a quantitative field or hold a masters (research) or Ph D in a quantitative field or Master's (research) or Honours bachelor's degree in a quantitative field with at least 1 year experience or hold a Masters (coursework) or bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of experience in retail, financial markets or marketing (preferred).
Statistical/Modelling – strong grounding in probability and statistics to justify methods, not just run models.
Hands-on with customer segmentation, regression/classification, forecasting, A/B and factorial testing, optimisation.
Storytelling – turn complex analyses into persuasive, visually clear insights with clear recommendations, executive decks and interactive visuals.
Strategic - Able to translate business problems into analytical frameworks with measurable outcomes.
Can work with ambiguous problems, set clear objectives, pick and defend the right analytical approach.
Commercial - Understand the value of data in driving business performance and customer outcomes.
Collaborative - Work effectively across disciplines, aligning data solutions with broader team goals.
Innovative & Agile - Comfortable experimenting with new tools, methods, and ways of thinking to solve problems.
A quick learner who adapts and finds creative solutions when faced with novel challenges.
