What you'll contribute to
An exciting opportunity for a Pricing and Product Analyst to join out Product Planning & Development Division in a Max Term role for 12 months.
The Product Planning & Development (PPD) Division is responsible for planning, coordination and execution of all product activities to ensure new products are optimised to meet the future needs of customers.
The Pricing & Product Analyst is responsible for supporting the development of vehicle pricing proposals for Toyota and Lexus, as well as determining the optimal model line-up strategy for Toyota's commercial and passenger vehicle range.
This includes determining vehicle specifications and features to ensure a compelling and competitive product offering.
The role focuses on maximising vehicle competitiveness, TMCA and dealer profitability, and achieving sales and customer satisfaction targets throughout the model lifecycle.
This role is based in Altona North with flexible work arrangements on offer.
How you'll make an impact

Develop Pricing Strategies: Contribute to the development and evaluation of Toyota and Lexus pricing strategies by analysing market trends, competitor positioning, and passenger vehicle lifecycle performance to optimise competitiveness and profitability.

Product Planning & Line-Up Development: Assist in shaping model line-ups, grade specifications, and accessory offerings for SUVs, using market insights to align with customer expectations, sales goals, and profitability targets.

Stakeholder Reporting & Communication: Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on pricing proposals and product planning progress, highlighting issues, recommending solutions, and ensuring alignment across teams.

System & Data Management: Maintain accurate pricing and product information in business systems to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning activities.

Content Accuracy & Compliance: Ensure the clarity and accuracy of technical content in specification sheets and marketing materials, while monitoring compliance with relevant regulations and standards to minimise risk.

Process Improvement & Innovation: Support the development of innovative processes in pricing and product planning to enhance vehicle appeal, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Your attributes - If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you

Degree in business, marketing, economics, or a related field, with experience in marketing, product planning and pricing-ideally within the automotive industry.

Strong understanding of business drivers, sales and product lifecycles, and proven ability to apply market research and financial analysis to support pricing and product decisions
Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to adapt strategies and develop innovative solutions
Passion for the automotive industry, with knowledge of vehicle systems, technical terminology, and market trends will be highly desirable
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and manage stakeholders effectively across teams
Experience with SAP (desirable) and Microsoft Office Suite, along with the ability to manage, interpret and present data for planning, forecasting, and reporting purposes
