Support actuarial reserving and pricing activities at QBE Insurance, collaborating with experienced teams in a hybrid Sydney-based role.
Your role Responsibilities Supporting half-year core reserving activities and financial reporting.
Developing and maintaining models for claims reserving, budgeting, and forecasting.
Analyzing claims trends and sharing insights to influence business decisions.
Analyzing product, segment, and channel profitability.
Performing risk modeling, premium adequacy assessments, and pricing recommendations.
Refining rating algorithms and conducting price impact analysis.
Collaborating with teams across claims, finance, and underwriting.
Writing clean, maintainable code for data analysis and modeling.
Documenting methodologies and results clearly and concisely.
Contributing to projects and division-wide initiatives.
About you Qualifications A degree in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Progress toward actuarial qualifications (Actuaries Institute or equivalent).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Excel; experience with R, Python, or SQL is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
