Director Data Risk/audit

Direct message the job poster from KPP Search My client is a Global Institution looking for a Director to join their Internal Audit team and lead the Data Risk audit portfolio.
Based in Sydney, you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering their data audit strategy across the organisation.
The role You will: Lead audits across data risk areas including data quality, records management, privacy, sovereignty, and AI.
Develop and implement our data assurance strategy and audit approach.
Evaluate data-related controls, identify areas for improvement, and present insights to senior management and the Board.
Work closely with business leaders to influence the way data risks are managed across the bank What we're looking for An experienced audit or assurance leader with deep knowledge of data governance and risk (e.g.
data quality, privacy, AI, records management).
Strong track record developing and delivering data assurance or audit strategies.
Excellent communication skills, with confidence presenting to executives and boards.
Ability to build strong relationships and drive change in a complex organisation.
Familiarity with data and AI regulations (e.g.
GDPR, EU AI Act, or similar frameworks).
