With a strong presence in the market, this role sits within the Retail Banking and Consumer Lending division and manages the Treasury operationsJob DescriptionThe Treasury Manager role is based out of the Brisbane HQ and covers the following key areas of responsibility:Support and advise the Head of Group Financial Control with respect to the bank's liquidity, funding, market risk, securitisation and balance sheet management.
Prepare presentations for annual external rating agency reviews and debt program investor updates.
Collaborate with group and bank functions on solutions and services.
Build and sustain long term relationships and partnerships, winning trust from a range of stakeholders while managing differing points of view.
Develop and maintain relationships with wholesale investors and advisors to grow and diversify the investor base.
Complete bank treasury activities and processes with reference to strategy, budget and forecasts and in compliance with relevant requirements Regularly review and update the bank's balance sheet, funding and net interest income projections to inform the bank's annual budget ,regular forecasts and monthly reporting.
Ensure bank's balance sheet, funding and net interest income forecasting and risk reporting is accurate, in line with strategic objectives and market conditions, and that underlying assumptions reviewed regularly.
Proactively manage the bank's on- and off-balance sheet composition, funding and interest rate risk in the banking book, in collaboration with stakeholders and in compliance of policy requirements, to optimise the bank's net interest income and balance sheet composition.
Other duties as outlined in the PD The Successful ApplicantA Successful Treasury Manager Should HaveA degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of treasury experience in a bank or ADI Demonstrates a strong understanding of financial market products, liquidity management, funding and balance sheet management Understands and is knowledgeable about bank / ADI regulatory requirements pertaining the treasury Experience with treasury management, asset and liability management and market information systems Demonstrates a strong ability to solve problems, perform numerical calculations and interpret data in different situations Demonstrates a strong ability to read, analyse and communicate written and verbal information Demonstrates a strong ability to find links and trends amongst multiple and varied forms of information, integrating facts arising from members, competitors and the market What's on OfferCompetitive salary package and range of benefits Opportunity to work within a well-established and respected organisation with future pathways and opportunities.
