The Position As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Nexigen Digital, you will collaborate with an agile team to develop new projects and improve our internal and customer-facing systems.
We seek a passionate, proactive, goal-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills.
Our QA team comes from diverse backgrounds, often starting from customer service roles.
We foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning, providing opportunities for growth regardless of your current skill set.
An average day may include: Thoroughly testing changes and new features across our platforms.
Creating detailed test plans and documentation.
Liaising with developers and stakeholders to resolve defects and quality issues.
Ensuring the final product meets all requirements.
Validating and verifying feature functionality.
Mentoring engineers on defect identification and self-testing improvements.
The right person (is it you?)Has 1-3 years' experience in the software development lifecycle (personal and self-taught experience considered).
Is detail-oriented and capable of identifying user experience issues.
Has a good understanding of software development and programming.
Is curious and able to think outside the box to find niche edge cases.
Can troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knows how to navigate a command line and understands Linux environments.
Has a solid understanding of relational databases, especially My SQL, and can write SQL queries.
Can create specific test scenarios through manual manipulation.
Has experience with RESTful APIs and SOAP Web Services.
Handy skills to have (or learn)Experience with QA tools like Soap UI, Postman, Burp Suite, ZAP, Fiddler.
Experience with project management tools like Jira and Trello.
Experience with PHP and React.js development.
Knowledge of the domain name and web hosting industry (c Panel, WHM, Plesk, etc.).
Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
