About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated Windows Desktop & Server Engineer to join our dynamic IT team.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience supporting and managing Windows desktop and server environments.
You will play a key role in maintaining the stability, security, and performance of our IT infrastructure, while providing expert-level support to end users and collaborating on infrastructure improvements.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Install, configure, and maintain Windows desktop and server systems (Windows 11, Windows Server).
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware/software issues to ensure optimal operations.
Implement and manage security protocols, updates, and antivirus solutions to safeguard systems.
Provide technical support to end-users and guidance to junior IT staff as required.
Perform regular patching, updates, system backups, and disaster recovery tasks.
Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Collaborate with the broader IT team to plan, test, and implement new systems and technologies.
Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and related infrastructure services.
Ensure IT operations are compliant with company standards and industry best practices.
Requirements and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar Windows Desktop/Server support role.
Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS (Windows 11, Windows Server editions).
Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services.
Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage priorities and work independently or within a team environment.
Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate) are advantageous.
