The role Our HUB24 Group Finance Operations Team is hiring a Senior Accounts Payable and Expense Officer in a 12 months fixed-term contract.
This role will support the Accounts Payable (AP) function with a focus on an upcoming migration project, especially regarding expense and credit card reimbursements.
The successful candidate will ensure accurate data transfer, maintain AP controls, perform reconciliations, and assist with month-end activities.
The Senior AP Officer will also lead process improvements and embed best practices across the AP team.
This position is located in Sydney.
Key responsibilities Accurately enter AP transactions and import expense and credit card reimbursements from Workday to Net Suite.
Maintain data integrity during system migration and ongoing AP processes.
Apply internal controls to ensure compliance with policies.
Identify and address process gaps, supporting audits and compliance.
Reconcile data during migration and perform regular AP account and supplier statement reconciliations.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly to support accurate financial reporting.
Assist in preparing and processing payment runs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Manage urgent or exception payments during migration.
Uphold high standards of detail and consistency in AP activities.
Collaborate with stakeholders to support the Workday to Net Suite migration.
Key requirements5+ years in Accounts Payable experience.
Experience in a senior or supervisory AP role.
Experience with Workday and Net Suite, especially migration and data integration.
Proven experience with expense and credit card reimbursements.
Strong Excel skills and confidence with financial systems.
Experience with month-end processes, including accruals and journals.
Understanding of end-to-end AP processes.
Ability to drive process improvements and best practices.
Experience with finance transformation projects is a plus.
