About the Role Are you passionate about coral reef conservation? Do you have the expertise and experience to lead WWF's Global Coral Reef Rescue Initiative? This is an exciting position based in Australia with a global mission.
The role provides strategic, technical and policy leadership and management of the Coral Reef Rescue Initiative (CRRI), and delivers key operational activities, to influence global policy, drive measurable impact, and scale reef conservation outcomes.
Key Accountabilities (Refer to Position Description for full list of Key Accountabilities)Leads CRRI engagement at the technical, policy, operational and strategic levels, including developing policies and initiatives that incorporate inclusive conservation principles to deliver strategic coral reef goals and objectives, including critical contributions to Global Ocean goals.
Provides expert coral reef technical, policy and strategic advice, materials and submissions to contribute to the development of WWF policies.
Builds and maintains strong and cohesive teams, networks, and positive partnerships and relationships that deliver strategically aligned key performance indicators, including working in an integrated manner with other WWF (both Australia and International) oceans initiatives.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience (Refer to Position Description for full list of Selection Criteria)Contributes to departmental strategy, managing operational planning and delivery.
Performs operational budgeting, risk and quality management and contributes to departmental reporting.
Builds a high performance staff, facilitating change through people, and developing individual competence by coaching, developing and retaining talent.
