Role : Product and Planning Analyst Duration : 24 months Location : Zetland (hybrid)Please note that due to the maximum term contract nature of this role, successful applicants will be engaged via a Volkswagen Group Australia (VGA) approved agency partner and not via VGA directly.
Otherwise you will be working onsite / hybrid at VGA as per typical working arrangements.

About your new Role In this role, you will report to the Head of Product and be based at our Zetland Head Office.
As a Product & Planning Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing product portfolio performance, identifying sales and profit opportunities, and transforming complex market and competitor data into actionable insights.
You'll collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders in Sales, Product and Marketing to understand the drivers behind performance and support the development of commercially viable product and pricing strategies.
Your work will directly contribute to maximising incremental sales and profit through effective product planning and positioning within the automotive landscape.
Your main responsibilities will include : Go-To-Market (GTM) Meeting Data and Insights – ensure monthly materials prepared, minutes taken and distributed Maintain DA Pricing and tactical Simulator to review impact on index position Support Product Managers with New Model and Lifecycle Planning Activities Maintain calculators and assess legislation and compliance impacts of product & volume plans on the wider business Conduct market analysis as needed to inform product planning and other areas of the business Assess price positioning against competitors and produce insights that inform key price management decisions Work closely with marketing to track lead conversion metrics against targets Track tactical offers and impact on sales performance for all models and key competitors.
Prepare monthly performance review report of priority models performance against key performance indicators Review channel mix performance against budgeted plan Highlight new entrants, segment developments, competitive insights Work with marketing to understand how the assigned product has been communicated and what media SOV and channel mix is versus sales performance Assess enquiry vs targets to predict future sales Understand key specification advantages and disadvantages for Passenger vehicle model range versus competitors About you To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following : Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a relevant field (desirable)Experience in Automotive or similar role preferred but not essential.
Experience with data management including advanced Microsoft Excel & Tableau skills Ability to analyse key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs)Data Management and High attention to detail Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Knowledge of the Australian Automotive environment Strong communication skills both written and verbal Understanding of New Car Features and Specifications Time Management skills Strong Organisational Skills Be a product ambassador for the Volkswagen brand Our Benefits, Rewards and Recognition include : A culture of continuous learning, growth and development.
