As a Senior Platform Engineer, you'll provide technical advice across solution design, architecture, and automation.
Leveraging your deep expertise in Dev Sec Ops and public cloud platforms, you'll champion modern engineering practices that drive operational excellence and platform resilience.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to : Collaboratively work with customer facing product engineers to design, build and run 'platforms' that they can use to deliver customer value at greater quality, velocity, and safety.
Write software that automates the operations of our platforms, infrastructure, environments, and tooling.
Manage and orchestrate workloads in AWS infrastructure (EC2, ECS, Lambda, Step functions, RDS) to ensure they are reliable, secure and scalable.
Maintain observability solutions using monitoring, alerting and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Otel collectors.
Understanding of Dev Ops / SRE Best Practices in Logging, Monitoring and Security.
Systematic problem-solving approach to resolve complex production issues, conduct root cause analysis, post-mortems and implement long-term solutions.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership to the team.
We're interested in hearing from people who : Are familiar with the modern software development practices using tools such as git for source control, and CI / CD tools such as Team City, Jenkins or Octopus Deloy.
Have deep experience in Design, Develop, Deploy and Run high quality applications and systems.
Are passionate about managing and scaling distributed systems in a public, private or hybrid environment.
Contributes to a culture where quality, inclusiveness and excellence are championed.
Ensure our platforms are loved by our software engineers and continually evolve our platforms to embrace new technology and improve the efficiency of our software engineers.
Identify technology limitations in existing systems and associated processes, use software engineering to develop scalable and sustainable improvements.
Have a natural drive to educate, communicate and positively influence various stakeholder groups including high level executives.
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks.
We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;5+ years of experience as a Platform / Dev Ops / SRE Engineer in AWS Cloud environment.
Hands-on experience with container technology : Docker and Kubernetes / ECS / EKS.
Strong scripting and programming skills like Python, Go or Bash.
Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (Ia C) and automation tools like Cloudformation.
Strong experience working with CI / CD tools such as Jenkins, Team City, Octopus, Github Actions or similar.
In-depth knowledge of SRE principles and best practices : defining CUJs, tracking SLOs and SLIs.
