FUNCTIONAL OVERVIEW: As a Test Analyst you will lead quality assurance efforts within an Agile scrum team, ensuring robust test coverage and effective defect management, with a focus on EFTPOS technology, payment industry standards, and continuous improvement of testing processes and frameworks.
SUMMARY OF ROLE DETAILS: Fixed-Term 12 months.
Sydney or Melbourne based What You Can Expect Work in an Agile Scrum team, taking ownership of Quality Assurance activities and actively contributing to Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Estimation, Daily Stand-ups, and Retrospectives.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and stakeholders to clarify requirements, ensure transparency, and enhance reporting.
Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts tailored to the SAFe Agile environment.
Create, review, and execute test cases, managing defects efficiently in Jira.
Analyze test results, report defects promptly, and proactively minimize production issues by ensuring robust test coverage.
Stay updated with industry best practices and advancements in EFTPOS technology and payments QA methodologies.
Actively participate in the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and automation frameworks.
What We Are Looking For4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 2+ years of EFTPOS payments testing experience.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, quality assurance processes, and SDLC.
Good knowledge in card payaments, including financial messaging standards (ISO 8583, AS2805).
Experience with scheme certifications (Visa, Mastercard, EFTPOS, UPI, etc.).
Proficiency of requirements analysis, test planning, and test environment setup.
Proficiency test case creation, test execution, defect management, and reporting.
Hands-on experience with test management tools such as Jira and X-Ray.
A team player with a proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and a "can-do" attitude, capable of working collaboratively under tight deadlines.
