Apply now Job no: JR102799 Work type: Permanent Location: Cairns Private Hospital Categories: Administration/Support Services About the role An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced Stores and Supply Officer to join our busy Stores Department on a permanent full-time basis.
This position requires an amount of heaving lifting and manual labour, to be successful you'll be able to complete these tasks in a safe and effective manner.
The successful candidate will support all hospital departments by: Ensuring adequate stock is available as and when required Be responsible for the ordering, receiving and storing of stock in relevant locations Maintain stock levels in accordance with hospital purchasing and inventory control policies and procedures Maintain provision of usage reports to ensure stock controls enable organisational objectives Your Essential Skills and Experience Previous supply/purchasing experience Experience using SAP/other computerised inventory control system Effective communication and interpersonal skills Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when required Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills Demonstrated organisational and time management skills Computer literacy skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Hold a current QLD drivers licence and forklift licence Previous experience in a Hospital environment supply role Qualification in Purchasing or SAPWhat's in it for you?Professional Advancement: Recognition, Rewards, Professional Development, and Employee referral programs.
