The Role We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, Junior Lawyer to join our team in our Gold Coast office.
This role presents an opportunity for a passionate legal professional to transition to an in-house legal environment with a genuine interest in contract and commercial law, insurance/risk management law, dispute resolution/litigation, and employment law.
Key Responsibilities: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including but not limited to subcontract agreements, supplier contracts, NDAs, etc.
Assist in and lead contract negotiations.
Develop advice that that balances legal and commercial risks.
Support the General Counsel with corporate governance and reporting.
Review and advise on documentation that the business relies upon during its undertakings.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, providing legal advice tailored to client needs.
Stay current with case law and legislative changes in a dynamic environment.
Manage a diverse workload, ensuring all deadlines are met, especially during high-demand periods and when critical legal reports are due.
Proactively cultivate internal relationships.
About You Admitted as a solicitor in Australia (or pending admission).
1–2 years' PQE – ideal candidates may come from commercial or construction law backgrounds.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Good communication and the ability to support non-legal stakeholders.
Familiarity with construction contracts (e.g.
AS 4000 series) is a bonus.
