Full-time, Fixed-Term 3 years Based on the Melbourne CBD campus, however, may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University.About YouThe Associate Director of Partnerships is a vital leadership role focused on developing external partnerships and overseeing growth and diversification training initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess both strategic vision and hands-on operational skills, excelling in relationship building that drives tangible business success.You will collaborate closely with the College Executive to lead efficient workforce training program operations and manage relationships with key stakeholders in B2 B (Business to Business) and B2 G (Business to Government) strategies.In this position, you'll provide line management for key personnel, fostering professional growth while holding teams accountable.
As a key member of the strategic leadership team, you'll work with the College Executive and VE Leadership Team to achieve operational goals.
Additionally, you may represent the Director of Partnerships on various committees and occasionally act in the Director's role.
Embrace this opportunity to make a meaningful impactTo be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum: Extensive experience in business, account management, stakeholder-centric governance, quality assurance and risk management functions within Industry and/or a university environment with a proven track record in achieving growth and diversification targets.
Outstanding operational and leadership skills in commercial environment including capacity to initiate, lead and manage change to achieve strategic objectives.
Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and business acumen to develop and implement new partnerships (concepts into deliverables) for market expansion initiatives whilst working to tight deadlines.
Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and communicate effectively with technical experts, project leads, and senior stakeholders.
Experience in building collaborative partnerships, influencing and persuading others, and resolving conflict in cross-cultural environments.
Highly experienced in financial and resource management, including budget development, monitoring, and reporting within complex projects or operational environments.
Extensive staff management experience (direct or indirect) including driving best practice communications and continuous improvement.
Proven success in developing and managing strategy, commercialisation and strategic partnerships, preferably within industry and/or a university environment.
