This is a critical role for Origin Retail, with the accountability for providing seasoned compliance advice based on your experience in the energy regulatory space to ensure the success of Origin's strategic partnership with Octopus Energy.
This role will have a significant impact in delivering a step-change for the Australian energy market.You will report to the Group Compliance Leader and join the wider Retail legal and compliance team.
This role works with internal stakeholders across our Retail business and also involves engaging with regulators in response to their queries and requests for information.Responsibilities include:Be a reliable subject matter expert in relation to the retail energy regulatory compliance frameworkProvide clear, concise and accurate regulatory compliance adviceLead responses to regulator inquiries and investigationsDevelop and maintain internal stakeholder relationships and external regulator relationshipsProvide compliance support for the investigation and remediation of compliance incidentsProvide compliance support for delivery of business goals and initiatives with compliance implicationsEncourage compliance awareness and compliance culture across RetailSupport new regulatory changesWhat will you bring?You will be an excellent communicator and commercially focused.
With a proactive approach to business engagement and a hands-on operational focus, you will be able to build solid commercial relationships with the Retail business.
You will have relevant tertiary qualifications and knowledge of the retail regulatory framework is expected.
