These inspections provide critical information to other stakeholders both internal to the department and more broadly, who make decisions on property retention, upgrade programs and the like based on the condition information we provide them.
A high standard of building/trade knowledge, computer literacy and interpersonal skills are required to adequately complete the role.
The role may also assist with our Maintenance Assurance program, in which we audit the completed maintenance work carried out by contractors engaged by the department, checking it for its quality, timeliness and compliance with the schedule of rates and contract specifications.Are youPurpose driven and passionate about delivering great outcomes for social housing renters and the Victorian community.Able to interpret and articulate technical aspects of building regulations, codes, standards and contracts to stakeholders of all levels.Flexible and Accountable: adaptable; open to new ideas; show initiative; proactive and self-starting; seizes opportunities and acts upon them.ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDEEnsure appropriate maintenance processes are undertaken, measured against agreed contractual and service delivery standards.Where responsible for overseeing, monitoring, or delivering projects, ensure they are delivered in accordance with relevant legislation and government regulations and guidelines.Contribute to the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including:Assisting in research, analysis and implementation of projects based on defined outcomes and outputs.Support the development and delivery of projects or sub-projects and their successful delivery and completion within resourcing, timeline, and budget parameters.Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.Please open the position description to read more.HOW TO APPLYApplicants are encouraged to apply online.
